I reference the sociology and psychology of the young generation that I am a part of, discussing a slice of millennial life in my work. Millennials are progressive and contemplative; this is the side of people that I am attracted to because of my introspective personality, I can relate to them this way.
Illustrator
My work comes from the perspective of someone who is an introverted observer. Capturing moods in an interior space allows me to have intimate conversations with the viewer. It’s these interactions and experiences with myself and those around me that birth small studies in my sketchbook. These then lead to possible compositions and directions to achieve a level of intimacy within my work.
“Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
Gallery
I aspire to create art that captures intimate moments that speak to the ideals of my generation, and to exhibit my work digitally, where it is accessible to a wide audience.
My Story
I was born and raised in NY and grew up with a fascination for illustrating the world around me. I was always drawn to other artists, their lifestyle, and freedom of expression, and knew I wanted to cultivate that same creativity within my own life. I earned a BFA from New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2017, and currently work as a freelance artist in my hometown of upstate NY.
